In year 1888 London was shocked by a series death of prostitutes. The serial killer who was active in and around Whitechapel district was still unidentified. The name ‘Jack The Ripper’ originally a nickname mentioned in a letter written by someone claiming to be the serial killer. The letter was then known as a hoax probably written by a journalist who raised the public interest in the story. There were other nicknames used for the killer at that time ‘Leather Apron’ and ‘The Whitechapel Murder’; but ‘Jack The Ripper’ was always the best known nickname for that unidentified serial killer in London’s dark side.
